tulip

I have always been drawing and painting. An example.When I was four years old and was in Kindergarten one day we were painting with brushes and gouache on paper. I used bright yellow, blue, red and wondered why the other children were mixing all paints and making such dirty brown-green colours.


私は、ドローイングあるいは絵をいつも描いていました。
幼稚園で４歳のとき、ある日私は紙に筆とグワッシュの絵の具で絵を描きました。私は明るい黄色、青、赤をつかいました。
どうして他の子供たちはぜんぶの絵の具を混ぜて、そんな汚い褐色の緑の色を作っているのだろうと不思議でした。

Making art work, especially drawing, for me is like breathing.I can't live without it. I need it every day, one way or the other. For example, when I am travelling I make very few drawings, but in stead I ‘draw' with my camera. The technique is different, but the way of working the same.

What interest me most is people: their feeling and emotions, their histories and behaviour, their bodies and movements. My tulips are related to people. For me tulips have eyes. That means tulips have a personality, which is failing with other flowers.


アートワーク（特にドローイング）は、私にとって呼吸のようなものです。
私はそれなしでは生きることができません。毎日、どんなときも必要なものです。
旅行している間はドローイングをしないけれど、でもそのかわりに、私はカメラでドローイングをします。テクニックは違うけれど、しかし同じアートワークです。

私に最も興味を感じさせるものは人々です。
人々の気持ちおよび感情、人々の歴史および振る舞い、人々の体およびその動きです。私のチューリップは人々と関係があります。
私にとって、チューリップは目を持っています。チューリップは、ある個性を持っていることを意味します。他の花にはない個性です。
